The Long Way Round

This project is a work in progress.

“The long way round” is abstracted view of a refugee camp on the border of France and England. The images are printed in the cyanotype method to take the photos away from traditional photographic objectivity that I felt did not portray the truth of the camp, people and situation. Instead I have tried to create some deeper sense of loss and sadness and happiness and community that I felt I could not capture in straight photographs.
